Easter Paper Crafts

These Easter paper crafts are easy to make and will delight you and your child.

Easy Bunny

  1. Take a square sheet of paper and position it so it looks like a diamond shape. Fold in half and unfold.

  2. Fold the bottom left and bottom right edges towards the center crease. It will look like a kite shape.

  3. Fold the top of the kite downwards.

  4. Fold the tip of the kite back up approximately 2/3 of the way. The protruding triangle will be the bunny's tail.

  5. Fold in half.

  6. Rotate clockwise a quarter turn.

  7. Cut the top crease a little less than half the lenght of the paper.

  8. Fold the two flaps upwards to make ears.

  9. Curl the ears and decorate with eyes.
If you do not want to use scissors, you can skip step 7. The bunny's ears will stick up as in step 9 and you will not be able to curl the ears. You can also fold this bunny while telling a story by Rachel Katz.

Rabbit Head

  1. Take a square sheet of paper and position it so it looks like a diamond shape. Fold up.

  2. Fold left to right and unfold.

  3. Fold the bottom up approximately a quarter of the way.

  4. Fold the bottom left and bottom right towards the center crease.

  5. Fold the bottom tip upwards a little.

  6. Flip the model over front to back. This is the rabbits face with the ears pointing up.

  7. Fold the top of the rabbit's head back and tuck behind the face.

  8. Decorate with eyes, nose, whiskers and mouth.

Variation 1: in step 4, fold the bottom left and bottom right edges towards the center crease but leave a V-shaped space. This will cause the rabbit's ears to point slightly outwards instead of straight up.

Variation 2: curl the rabbit's ears back at an angle to make a larger V-space in between the ears.

Easter Basket (Traditional Magazine Box)

  1. Take a rectangular piece of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Fold the paper into quarters by folding the top and bottom edge towards the center line. Unfold.

  2. Fold the paper in half crosswise. Unfold.

  3. Fold the paper into quarters crosswise by folding the left and right edges towards the center line.

  4. Fold the four corners in.

  5. Pry open and fold back the edges of the paper. This makes a folded edge along the middle of the paper.

  6. Pull up the paper in the areas marked with a black dot. This will cause the paper to pop open into the shape of a box.

  7. Staple on a strip of paper and you've got yourself a handle.
