These Easter paper crafts are easy to make and will delight you and your child. Easy Bunny - Take a square sheet of paper and position it so it looks like a diamond shape. Fold in half and unfold.
- Fold the bottom left and bottom right edges towards the center crease. It will look like a kite shape.
- Fold the top of the kite downwards.
- Fold the tip of the kite back up approximately 2/3 of the way. The protruding triangle will be the bunny's tail.
- Fold in half.
- Rotate clockwise a quarter turn.
- Cut the top crease a little less than half the lenght of the paper.
- Fold the two flaps upwards to make ears.
- Curl the ears and decorate with eyes.
If you do not want to use scissors, you can skip step 7. The bunny's ears will stick up as in step 9 and you will not be able to curl the ears. You can also fold this bunny while telling a story by Rachel Katz.
Rabbit Head - Take a square sheet of paper and position it so it looks like a diamond shape. Fold up.
- Fold left to right and unfold.
- Fold the bottom up approximately a quarter of the way.
- Fold the bottom left and bottom right towards the center crease.
- Fold the bottom tip upwards a little.
- Flip the model over front to back. This is the rabbits face with the ears pointing up.
- Fold the top of the rabbit's head back and tuck behind the face.
- Decorate with eyes, nose, whiskers and mouth.
Variation 1: in step 4, fold the bottom left and bottom right edges towards the center crease but leave a V-shaped space. This will cause the rabbit's ears to point slightly outwards instead of straight up. Variation 2: curl the rabbit's ears back at an angle to make a larger V-space in between the ears.
Easter Basket (Traditional Magazine Box)
- Take a rectangular piece of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. Fold the paper into quarters by folding the top and bottom edge towards the center line. Unfold.
- Fold the paper in half crosswise. Unfold.
- Fold the paper into quarters crosswise by folding the left and right edges towards the center line.
- Fold the four corners in.
- Pry open and fold back the edges of the paper. This makes a folded edge along the middle of the paper.
- Pull up the paper in the areas marked with a black dot. This will cause the paper to pop open into the shape of a box.
- Staple on a strip of paper and you've got yourself a handle.
