US Dollar Bill Dimension

US dollar bill dimensions is 6.14 " x 2.61" : its ratio of length:width is approximately 7:3.

For practice purposes, it is sometimes useful to make rectangles of the same proportion as a dollar bill. These sheets are larger and will allow you to "save" your dollar bills for when you are ready for the final fold.

  1. Start with a sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper. Fold & unfold the top-right corner down to make a 45° crease along the top-left corner.
  2. Fold & unfold top edge of the paper down to meet with the crease line made above. This gives a 22.5° angle.
  3. Make a horizontal fold where the second crease meets the right edge of the paper. Cut off this section and you will have a rectangle with US dollar bill dimension. It is a little shorter than ⅓ of the sheet.
